Pearls of the mosel

The Fritz Haag vineyard lies at the core of the middle Mosel and looks back on a long history: it was first mentioned in records in 1605 when the village was still called Dusemond. In order to promote the reputation of the world famous vineyard locations of "Brauneberger Juffer" and "Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr" even more – even Napoleon counted them amongst the pearls of the Mosel region - Dusemond was renamed Brauneberg in 1925. According to tradition, the 12.2 ha Fritz Haag vineyard, now headed by Oliver Haag, is also known by the name of "Dusemonder Hof".

Only Riesling grapes, which are tended throughout the year by experienced employees, are to be found in the top locations of the Fritz Haag vineyard. The wine harvest is naturally carried out manually and often in several passes. The gentle processing of the grapes and the careful seasoning of the wines are in the hands of Oliver Haag. The estate offers the complete diversity of Riesling: from dry through delicately fruity to the noble sweet top growths, which first helped the Mosel Riesling to gain its worldwide reputation.
